The Dead Play On Cafferty Quinn Heather Graham 9780778317739 Books

I'm not certain why I keep reading Heather Graham, except that in her first books, she did so ver well with her characters and working up to her finale, keeping my interest for the entire book. The last six or so I have read however, I simply keep plodding along as does she, waiting for it to get interesting, which does not happen til the very end if the book. I am therefore, officially to the end of paying for here overpriced books, earned simply by the merits of her first efforts, never to be seen again. Goodbye Heather Graham.

The Dead Play On Cafferty Quinn Heather Graham 9780778317739 Books Reviews

I Love Ms. Graham's books. You are always guaranteed an amazing ride, and the ONLY caveat I would put out there is, Don't pick up the book unless you have 4-5 hours to read it.
There are VERY HARD to put down!!
Enjoy the ride!! She never disappoints!!
I truly enjoy reading Heather Grahams series, one called the Krewe Of Hunters and the other is cafferty and Quinn, if you like reading about the supernatural you will love both of these series. all the stories have so much going on, romance suspense, and the supernatural. I would recommend both series to anyone who enjoys reading about the supernatural, but don't worry because Heather graham has so many different types of books so there is something for everyone and i am sure you will keep going back for more of her books.
This is a good suspense story. Musicians lives are at risk and Danni, Quinn and others are on the job to solve the mystery. At issue is what might be a magic sax and the length at which the person obsessed with this instrument will go to find it. The Cheshire Cat becomes a safe place for many people but nerves are still on edge. There are twists and turns that throw you off track...just in case you think you have it figured out. Is this vague enough for you? It's a good story that will keep you captivated.
I love Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters so tried the Cafferty and Quinn. This is my 2nd one and I am hooked. If you like a bit of the paranormal without it being grisley and spooky ......these are for you. Graham's spirits are just enchanting and I think I believe in them. Problem is she can't write fast enough for me. I am always waiting anxiously to get my hands on the next one. I also like that her mysteries are about her characters and their lives and not completely centered on murder and gore. So if I sound like a fan.......I am.
Each story in this series is good. This was a bit different than the first two; great suspense but lacking the edgy paranormal twist. The characters really live with good descriptions. There are only two things which kept me from giving this five stars. There are so many extra minor characters, I'd have to flip back and forth to keep them straight. The other was calling the first (and main) victim a Marine, then referred to him by Army terms and rank throughout. A soldier is in the Army, and is not a generic term for members of all services. A small detail yes, but when you weave veteran facts, and Walter Reed Medical Center throughout tge story, then dvery small detail counts.
It was ok. I was a little bored at times. It was predictable. I was 90% sure who the killer was from the get go.
I thought it was pretty stupid that they split up and went to different bars. Why would you leave the woman you love protected only by older man? Why didn't Billy just go to the other bar to protect Jenny? Speaking of Jenny, oh my goodness, has there ever been a more annoying character?
I was happy to read the relationship between Quinn and Danni was so much better than the other two books. I felt their connection this time.
Something about these three books was just, I don't know the right word for it. It was like watching a movie the was B rated, but kind of good too. After reading the first two books, I waited for the price to go down.
Wish there were more of this series. I like to get to know the regular characters in different situations. They almost become friends and I prefer series over stand alone books where the characters are always different. I enjoyed the first few Krewe Hunters books for the same reason I loved the Cafferty and Quinn books but unfortunately the regular characters became barely there supporting characters and the storylines a bit too formulaic. Too bad. Let me know please if anymore Cafferty and Quinn books are written.
